ABOUT THE OWNER & DESIGNER
Hi! I'm Brittany and I am the owner and designer of Brittany's Floral Design. I'm so glad you're here!
I have been a professional florist more than 19 years and with experience in all aspects of full service floral design. At Brittany's Floral Design, I offer high quality silk and real touch floral designs as well as superior fresh floral designs. My assistants and I travel, set-up and deliver anywhere within the New England area. My floral design work and business has been featured in Engaged Southern New England Weddings several times - published magazine ads, blog posts, social media posts, and so on. I have been interviewed for a featured article as well with various companies, such as REDFIN.com, Southern New England Weddings, and Engaged Southern New England, etc. These accomplishments have proven that hard work pays off! There has been no better feeling than my design work and floral business getting recognized nationwide. Most recently, I won an award for "Best Florist" on the Discover Rhode Island competition for the Wedding category! I am also one of Zola's "Best of Zola" lead florists on their site. I am so very humbled, honored, and thrilled with how far I have come with building my business. I could not have done it without my amazing clients.
I specialize in the following:
Weddings: Bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, flower crowns, centerpieces, arbor floral designs, ceremony décor, wide variety of rentals, large arrangements, cocktail arrangements & much more!

Full Service Floral Design: Weddings, Event Décor Rentals, Bridal Showers, Baby Showers & Sprinkles, Funerals, Birthdays, Business/Company Events, Specials Events & much more!
I have always been a creative person, but didn’t realize my love for floral design until I was transferred to the floral department at the local grocery store I was working at in high school. This transfer allowed me to learn the basics of floral design, flower care, and customer service. From the grocery store, I wanted to master my trade and took a job as a full service lead designer at a very well known and upscale local florist at a young age. At this florist I sharpened my skills, absorbed all the teachings of seasoned florists, and became the lead floral designer all while attending Rhode Island College for a bachelors degree in Business Marketing.
This local florist had a great reputation for superior quality, and I knew this is where I could harness my creativity and become a great designer. I was the youngest designer on the team by many years, and was mentored by many talented designers from around the country. I was entrusted to work on the most complex design projects, including: large and small weddings, funerals, showers, complex floral installations, and other custom arrangements. Some of my designs were even featured in weddings magazines that were distributed around the country! I even had the honor of staging these professional photographed floral designs for marketing material for the store and nationwide magazines. My floral design work has been feature in Engaged Southern New England Weddings blog posts, social media posts, interview articles, and even in their magazine ads. I have even been interviewed by REDFIN.com and published in articles and their live blogs as well giving my expert opinion for their customers on design. And on a more fun note, I even had the once in a lifetime opportunity to design arrangements for some very famous actors like George Clooney and even Jack Nickelson on two separate occasions!
After leaving this florist I became lead floral designer and manager of the florist department at a very well-known upscale supermarket based out of upstate New York. I opened the first floral department in New England for this large company. Here I was tasked with being on their National Design Team for the grocery store. I traveled to trade shows across the country to learn the latest floral trends, new design techniques, and floral trends. I worked with a very small elite team to come up with mood boards that would be followed across the entire company for each floral season and holiday. I would present to the entire company, including the CEO and his executive team, explaining the floral designs we have come up with for the following year and the overall themes we were going to be working with nationwide. I was on this team until I decided it was time for me to take the next big step in my floral career - open my own business.
Right after I made the decision to leave this well-known company, my husband and I decided it was time to start our family. After the birth of our first child my business took off like I still cannot believe! We continued on and had 3 babies total to complete our family - I still can't believe what I accomplished in those beginning years of my business while simultaneously supporting our growing family. I certainly could not have done it without my husband, Chris. He was the main reason I took the leap of faith and started my own florist - he's my biggest supporter, cheerleader, and rock. He believed in me even when I did not. It was always a dream of mine to start a wedding floral business from the ground up, so I guess you can think of this business as my 4th baby. My passion for floral design has led me to where I am today, and I know in my heart I made the right decision for my family, my clients, and myself. Thank you for trusting me as your florist. I cannot wait to hear from you.
